Germani Brescia is pleased to announce the signing of John Brown III, a 2-year deal until June 2028. John Brown III, a 203 cm tall American forward, is a seasoned international player with a deep understanding of the game and the ability to make a difference on both sides of the court. In the recently concluded season, he split his time between the Australian experience with the Melbourne Phoenix (NBL) and the Puerto Rican experience with the Santeros de Aguada (BSN), where he averaged 12.8 points per game with 7.4 rebounds. Career John Brown III, born on January 28, 1992, in Jacksonville, Florida, began his journey in various high schools in Florida, which led him to join the NCAA, where he played for four years with the High Point University (North Carolina). After completing his collegiate experience, he began his professional career in Italy, accepting the offer from Virtus Roma (Serie A2), where he averaged 19.9 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. In the 2017/2018 season, he started in Treviso (Serie A2), a historic and prestigious Italian basketball club, where he averaged 17.8 points per game with 7.2 rebounds, contributing significantly to the team's semifinal playoff run. His performances earned him a call-up to Brindisi (Serie A), where he spent two seasons, becoming one of the most incisive and determining long players in the league and helping the Pugliese team win two consecutive playoff qualifications and a Coppa Italia final. In the 2019/2020 season, he played in the Basketball Champions League, averaging 11.6 points per game. In the summer of 2020, following the pandemic, he returned to Russia and signed with Unics Kazan (VTB), a rapidly developing Russian basketball club, with which he also participated in the Eurocup, averaging 10.4 points per game. After a strong first season, he was confirmed by the white-and-blue team and, in the 2021/2022 season, he had the opportunity to debut in the Euroleague, averaging 10.3 points per game. Due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, in April 2022, he chose Italy. It was Brescia that brought John Brown III back to Serie A, under the guidance of coach Alessandro Magro, with the goal of inserting a high-level profile into the rotations in view of the playoffs. He closed his first appearance in Germani's jersey with a 10.8 points per game average. He then spent two seasons as a leading player with AS Monaco (Elite). Under the orders of the Monegasque formation, he played a fundamental role in the team's balance and, in the principality, won two French championships and a French Cup, but his personal Euroleague record remained positive. In 2024, he transferred to Belgrade, joining Stella Rossa (ABA), winning a Serbian Cup and having the opportunity to play in the Euroleague for the fourth consecutive season.
